Our School

At SLES, we will work to bring students, families, and staff from both Carolina Springs Elementary and Saxe Gotha Elementary together to become South Lake Elementary School. Together, “We are South Lake!” and we can't wait to create our story about what makes our campus special.

We are always stronger when we work together, as a team, for the students we serve.

Overarching Goal for South Lake Elementary

Long Term Vision for SLES: To create a sustainable and high performing professional learning community that provides student teachers, beginning with their practicum experience, the skills and strategies to be successful in their first year of teaching and beyond.
In year one, we will focus on establishing professional learning communities that support teachers in becoming facilitators of learning for student teachers. We will then implement what we learn beginning in spring 2025 with the first cohort of student teachers assigned to SLES.
