I am honored to serve as the first principal of this amazing new school and very excited about meeting each and every one of you in the coming months.
More than 20 years ago, I started my career in education as an instructional assistant at Saxe Gotha Elementary School. Being the new principal of SLES brings me full circle in my career and allows me to “come home” to this community, which is near and dear to my heart!
My core values as an educator stem from my love of working alongside children and families to ensure that they have the best possible school experience. It is my responsibility for the students to leave South Lake Elementary with not only the components to make them successful in middle school, but also with the skills and strategies for them to be successful in life. We are preparing the students of tomorrow right now, and it is a wonderful process that I take very seriously. I can't wait to create our story about what makes our campus special.
I look forward to working with this great community and appreciate your support as we make this transition. It is our commitment to create an inclusive environment by working collaboratively with educators, support professionals, and families.
